Hospital, Bristol, TN. She was born November 27, 1975 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Judy Edwards
Justice and Donnie Justice of Tazewell, VA. She was a homemaker. Also preceding her in death was
paternal grandparents Walter and Pearlie Justice and maternal grandfather Allen Edwards. Survivors
include her father Donnie Justus and companion Jane Boothe of Tazewell; her long time companion Rex
Horne; four sisters Barbara Ann (James) Counts of Bluefield, Michelle (Jason) Phipps of Hinton, Jennifer
(Kevin) Grahamn of Mullens and Brittany Justice of Beckley; three brothers Brett Justice of Tazewell, Jason
(Amy) Justice of Hinton and Benny (Marie) Justice of Tazewell; and Ronald Justice who was as close as a
brother; a special nephew Ricky “Skip” Justice; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and

Douglas Leon “Doug” Johnson, 71, of Lynco, WV passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at CAMC
Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born March 4, 1942 in Mohegan, WV, a son of the late
William Gayther and Nora Beatrice Mullins Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death
by two daughters Tina Johnson and Cynthia Pennington; two brothers Gayther Arvus Johnson and Johnny
Johnson and a sister Nancy Havert. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Brenda Pricilla Vint
Johnson; a daughter Lisa Dawn White and husband William of Oceana; two sisters Erdene Hiller of
Colonial Beach, VA and Deborah “Debbie” Wilson of Richmond, VA; two brothers Bill Johnson and wife

Jerry Randall ”Randy” Vance, 54, of Indian Creek, WV Went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May
26, 2013 at his residence following a courageous two and a half year battle with cancer. He was born
September 20, 1958 in Pineville, WV, a son of Pauline Ward Adkins of Indian Creek, WV. Randy was a
coal truck driver and a member of the Brenton Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to fish, read, cook and
spend time with nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 8 years
Debra Jean Davis Vance; three sisters Betty (Dale) Osborne of Gretna, VA, Barbara Caldwell of Indian

Meloney Marie Castle Franklin, 65, of Beckley, WV formerly of Oceana, WV, passed away on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at Raleigh General
Hospital. She was born June 7, 1947 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Everett and Melissa Stumbo Castle. In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by her loving husband John Franklin, Sr.; a son Gregory Dean Castle, a daughter Pamela Carol Franklin and a
granddaughter Ashley Marie Franklin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wharton Church of God. Survivors include a daughter

On Wednesday July 10, 2013, Kolleena Reinette “Corky” Brown Parsons, of Lynco, WV went home to be with her husband Roger. She was
surrounded by a host of family and friends.  She was born March 21, 1962 at Fort Eustis Military Base, Newport News, VA. She was the
second child of Kenneth and Hilda Brown of Kopperston. A graduate of Oceana High School, Class of 1980. Corky spent her life as a loving
mother and housewife. She attended Joseph Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher and Bookkeeper. Corky loved spending
time with family, whether it was a vacation or a weekend cookout, she loved being surrounded with friends and family. Preceding her in death
was her husband of 31 years, Roger, mother and father-in-law Virgil and Rita Parsons, a sister- in-law Ruby Hall and a brother-in-law Ronnie
Parsons. Survivors include her son Doozer of Lynco; her parents KD and Hilda Brown of Kopperston; a sister Rena Pelphrey and husband
Ronnie of Lynco; a brother Bado Brown and partner Ty Ostreicher of Sanford, FL; three brothers-in-law William “PeeWee” Parsons and wife

Ruby Mae Lusk Bailey, 75, of Cyclone, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 13, 2013 at Logan Regional Medical Center
following a long illness with her family by her side. She was born March 6, 1938 at Cyclone , WV, a daughter of the late Mack and Hallie
Paynter Lusk. Ruby enjoyed her family get togethers, her church family and her church. She loved going out to eat with her daughters and
granddaughters, she loved going to church when she could. In addition to her parents, her husband Robert “Pondy” Bailey in 1998 and an
infant son Robert Grady Bailey and a daughter Regina Bailey Trent in Nov. of 2009, and a granddaughter Miranda Bailey, also preceded her
in death. Those left to cherish her memory include six children, three daughters Linda Lusk and husband Andrew of Cyclone, Judy Fraley and
husband Wes of Oceana and Cindy Daniels and husband Ryan of Cyclone; three sons Randall Bailey and wife Suzette of Cyclone, Jackie

two sons Garrett and Braxton Nichols of Clarksville, TN; a sister Peggy Ann Taylor and a very special niece Lisa Cloverdale of Nobblesville,

Sidney Dale Goodwin, 71, of Dunedin, Florida, and Gap Mills, WV (formerly of Oceana, WV) went home to be with our Lord on Sunday July
21, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 4, 1942 in Logan, WV. Sid was a retired employee of Eastern Associated Coal
Corporation Kopperston II mines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the mountains and sharing those loves with his family. Left to carry on his
legacy of strong family values and love of the beautiful outdoors are his wife Geraldine of 48 years; his children Cindy (John) Lavezzo, Pam
(Eric) Tobias, and Dale (Carmen) Goodwin whom all reside in Florida except when they can return home to the beautiful mountains of WV.
His ten grandchildren Kalie, Resha, Nick, Kortney, Jordan, Derek, Jakob, Ellie, Alyssa, and grandson due on September 3; four great
grandchildren Haley, Jasmine, Amiya, and Jahsiah with whom he took pride in spending many hours teaching and sharing his values and
abundance of knowledge. He was predeceased by his father Boots Logan Goodwin, mother Orphia Mary Noe; sisters Ellilouise Goodwin,
and Garnell Sheppard, and a brother Calvin Goodwin. Survived by his brother Joe Goodwin and sisters Garnett Lusk and Midge Hicks all of

Wanda Steffey, 80, of Oceana, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday July 22, 2013 in Morgantown after a long term illness. She was
born in Rockhouse, KY, a daughter of the late Palmer and Ivory Bartley Coleman. Creativity was a significant part of Wanda’s life. She was
an accomplished seamstress, even donating her time to create cheerleading and dance uniforms for the local girls in Oceana, and she was
a talented artist who left many beautiful paintings for her family to admire. She served as president of the Oceana Women’s Club, and for
most of her career she was a department head at the Island Creek Store. Most importantly, Wanda was a devoted and cherished friend to
many, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Bob
and Bill Coleman; a beloved grandson, Will Cook; and a cherished daughter-in-law, Frankie Steffey. Those left to cherish her memory
include her husband of 62 years John Pitts Steffey; a sister Flo Thacker of Brownstown, MI; a son Larry Wayne Steffey of Gray, TN; a
daughter Connie Cook and her husband Larry of Queensland, Australia; three granddaughters Beth Steffey, Sara Greene, and Haley Bunn;

Billie Woodrow “Shaw” Keeney, Jr., 68, of Cyclone, WV, went on his heavenly flight in the morning hours of July 29, 2013. He was born
August 3, 1944 in Cyclone, WV the son of Verna Stevens Keeney and the late Billie W. Keeney, Sr. Bill was a US Army Veteran and served in
the Vietnam War. He was always a happy man and enjoyed being around people. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a
grandson Austin Blankenship, two son-in-laws Darren Vankomen and Bill Compton, a nephew Kim Wells and lifelong friend Gary “Train”

was a US Air Force Veteran, member of the UMWA and a retired coal miner. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law Ben

Delmas Shelly Lusk, 70, of Sinks Grove, WV formerly of Cyclone was granted his angel wings at 6:57 PM on Tuesday September 3, 2013
at University of Pittsburg Medical Center, Pittsburg, PA following a long illness. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.
Delmas was of the Baptist faith and was a coal miner for 28 years. He was born November 13, 1942 in Cyclone, WV, a son of the late Creed
and Merlie Bailey Lusk. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters Lora and Rosie Lusk; two brothers Roy and Posey
Lusk; a daughter Ambara Lusk; father and mother-in-law Herndon P. and Earnie B. Stewart; brothers-in-law Paris and Joseph Stewart; and

Dale Roger Harold, 66, of Marianna, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday September 23, 2013 after a courageous
battle with lung cancer. He was born May 5, 1947 in Fanrock, WV. Dale retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Local
132 after 35 years of service. He also belonged to the United Steel Workers district 23 for 5 years. Dale was preceded in death by his father
Darrell Harold of Brenton, and a brother Buel of Brenton. He was a 1965 graduate of Baileysville High School. Dales is survived by Dottie his
loving wife of 47 years; his mother May Harold of Brenton; a daughter Cynthia and her husband Harry Stafford, Jr. of Clermont, FL, and their
children Chelsea, Courtney, Megan, and Caleb; a son Dale, Jr. of Marianna and his kids Kaylee, and Dale III; a brother Paul and his and his
wife Linda of Saltville, VA and their son Eric; a sister Patricia and her husband Eddie St. Clair of Marianna and their kids Missy and Eddie
Lee; two nieces Angie and Christy. Dale enjoyed taking his camaro to car shows and being a citizens band radio enthusiast, where he

Robert Hollis Brooks, 95, of Jesse, WV, died on Friday October 18, 2013. He was born June 28, 1918 in Matheny, WV a son of the late
Carroll and Zeta Walker Brooks. He was a member of the Guyandotte Baptist Church. His hobbies included farming and wood working. In
addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carnice “Dollie” Shrewsbury Brooks; a brother Selmer Brooks; two sisters
Bertha Philyaw and Oretha Sowards. Hollis was a WW II Veteran having served in the Army Air Corp. He was a 1934 graduate of Oceana
High School, attained his B.A. in Education from Concord College and his Masters from West Virginia University. He worked for many years
as a teacher, coach and principal for the Wyoming County Board of Education. Survivors include a son Philip (Joli) Bailey of Washington, WV;
two daughters Betty Brooks and Glenna Beatty both of Parkersburg; a sister Tensie (Harold) Tracy of Versailles, KY; a brother James G.
“Jamie” (Christine) Brooks of Pineville; four grandchildren Patrick (Susanne) Brooks of Charlotte, Gregory Woolwine, Emily Brooks both of

Maudie Louise Pennington, 91, of Martinsville, Virginia, formerly of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21,
2013 at Blue Ridge Manor (Assisted Living) of Martinsville. Maudie was born December 29, 1921 at Elk Lick, WV, a daughter of the late
George L. and Arminta C. Belcher Morgan.  She was a loving mother and homemaker.  She was a founding member of the Oceana First
Church of God, and attended the Martinsville First Church of God.  She enjoyed painting, helping others and being with her family and friends.  
She was a charter member of the WCG of the Oceana First Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James
Clyde (Jim) Pennington; four brothers; Lawrence, Elmer, Charlie and Ula Morgan; six sisters; Ada Walls, Bessie Bailey, Ora Stollings,
Blanche Cook, Corba Lester, and Lennie Cook; one great-grandchild, Nathaniel Peyton Childers.  Left to cherish her memory are  one son,

Emergency Hospital in 1969. She was a homemaker and a member of Brier Creek Tabernacle Church. She loved quilting, crocheting,

Freewill Baptist Church for 55 years where she loved to sing in the choir. Prior to retirement she was a part-time cook for the Wyoming
County Board of Education. She was a 1955 graduate of Oceana High School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is

John "Pitts" Steffey, passed away on November 9th, 2013, in Beckley, after a long illness. He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on
December 5th, 1927. He was a resident of Oceana for 62 years. He brought his new bride, Wanda Coleman Steffey, to Oceana shortly after
they married in 1951. She passed away on July 22 of this year. Pitts was also preceded in death by siblings Naomi Steffey, May Fern Worrix,
Charlie Steffey, Claude Steffey, Leon Steffey, Martha Ellen Elkins, Bonnie Adkins, James Steffey and Loretta Harvel; a beloved grandson,
Will Cook; and a cherished daughter-in-law Frankie Steffey. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Eula Sarter of Sessor, IL, Magdalene
Scalf of Oceana, Helen Smith of Tram, Kay Horton of Knoxville, TN, and Hannah Whisenant of Oceana; his son, Larry Wayne Steffy of Gray,
TN, and daughter, Connie Cook of Queensland, Australia; and grandchildren Beth Steffey, Sara Greene, and Haley Bunn. Pitts was also
blessed wtih two-great grandchildren, Olivia and Lucas Greene. Pitts was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked in the coal
mines in several positions, including Mine Foreman, for Pocahontas Coal and Eastern Associated Coal Companies. Pitts was committed to
public service, giving over 30 years of service to the Town of Oceana. He served as Town Councilman for several years and also served
several terms as Mayor. Pitts took pleasure in fishing and hunting. He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Westside Renegades, the
Oceana Indians, and the Mountaineers, even watching this season's games from the nursing home. He also enjoyed golf and participated in
many tournaments, either as a participant or assisting staff. He was even fortunate enough to achieve a "Hole In One," on one occasion. He
had many friends in Oceana, as well as in Davenport, FL, where he and Wanda spent their winters in latter years. Pitts will be missed by all.

Warren Bruce “Frito” Cook, 55, of Lillyhaven, WV passed away on Sunday November 10, 2013 of a massive heart attack. He was born

was employed by Bluestone Coal at the present time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, paragliding and spending time with his

Rev. Elderly John R. Justice, 78, of Panther, WV passed away on Saturday November 23, 2013 with his family by his side in Pikeville, KY.
Mr. Justice was born September 15, 1935 in Buchana County, VA, he was the son of the late Harison Justus and Mary Belle (Kennedy)
Justus. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four sisters Pricey Justice, Elizabeth (Liz) Justice, Violia Justice, and Pearlie
Justice; six brothers Junior Justus, Willie Justus, Allison Justus, Mathew Justus, Walter Justus, and Iverson Justus; five nieces; two nephews;
a great niece; and three great nephews. John was a loving husband for 56 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle,
and friend to everyone he met. He was a coal miner for 20 plus years. A member of Old Regular Baptist at Little Zion for 45 years and was
assistant moderator at Mount Zion for 17 years, and ordained minister for 38 years. A moderator which was his life too for 18 years, he then
served as assistant moderator for a short time at Panther Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and
loved him. His hobbies were riding four wheelers, Gen Singing, and yellow root digging, visiting with family and friends. Survivors include his
loving wife Lona Keaton Justice; a daughter Regina (Delmas) Steele of Monroe; six sons Thurman (Maxine) Justice of Panther, Billy Ray

purple heart. He was a state mine inspector, and he worked for Eastern Coal Corp. where he retired. He was the last constable voted in for
Wyoming County on November 7, 1972. He attended and was a member of Family Praise and Worship Center of Oceana. He attended
Oceana High School. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Timothy Sams; two brothers Honas Poe, and Hames Sams;

Mr. Charles Wayne “Charlie” Toney, 73, of Oceana, WV passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at his home. He was born January
15, 1940 in Pax, WV, a son of the late Jesse Willard and Kathleen Kidd Toney. Charlie was a retired coal miner with thirty years of service at
Harris #1 Mine, a member of UMWA Local 1503. He spent seven years in service to our country in the military, first as a United States Marine
and then with the United States Air Force. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Phyllis Barrs Toney; a brother Bill Toney and wife

Richard Allen “Ricky” Couch, 33, of Lynco, WV slipped away on Saturday December 14, 2013 from complications of Salmonella
poisoning in Raleigh General Hospital. He was born December 26, 1979 in Beckley, WV, a son of Charlie Allen and Mary Ann Matney
Couch.  Ricky was a 1999 graduate of Oceana High School and a coal truck driver. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charlie

Vivian Irene Bellew Morgan, 88, of Fanrock, WV left to meet her heavenly father on Saturday January 4, 2014 from Wyoming Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center, New Richmond, WV. She was born March 24, 1925 in Denton, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles Washington
and Ethel Mae Elkins Bellew. For many years she lived and worked for RCA Corporation in Cincinnati, OH, she moved to Winston Salem, NC
where she worked until retirement for Forsythe Memorial Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to
her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James P. Morgan, two sisters and brothers-in-law Leona and Tommy Bailey and Ruby
and Morris L. Meadows; a brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Lorene Bellew; a half sister and brother-in-law Eula Mae and Ted Pennington
and a grandson Charles “Bubby” Adkins. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Winston Salem, NC where she

Selena Renee Justice, 39, of Mohawk, WV took her flight to be with Jesus and the angels on Friday January 24, 2014 surrounded by her
family and friends, leaving out as her mother held her in her arms. She was born March 9, 1974 in Welch, WV. She was the daughter of Linda
and Robert “Poppy” Adams of Mohawk and Carter and Charlotte Justice of Pipestem. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Burl
and Carona Davis of Mohawk and Olison and Dicy Justice of Hurley, VA. Along with her parents left to cherish her memories is her sister
Michelle Mills of Panther; a special brother-in-law Steve Mills of Panther; Sister Amberlee Adams and fiancé Timothy Justice of Panther; four
special nieces who she loved so dear Wendy, Jade and Madison Mills and Taylor Lester; two nephews Aidan Justice and Tanner Lester; a
host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her as their own! She also had a special little friend, her dog Snoopy that she loved and
spoiled. Selena was a special child of God, that never knew a stranger. She could light up a room with her smile. She enjoyed singing,

Lusk. Christine was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. She was a member of Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church and a member
of lady’s circle. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Sester Osborne; three brothers; four sisters; a

Huntington, WV.  She was born March 21, 1928 in Clear Fork, WV, the oldest daughter of the late Mac Conrad and Lula Bailey Johnson.
Mildred was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Aux. VFW 8364, Wyoming County EXT Homemakers, Oceana Band Boosters, member
of the Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, and the Missionary Women’s.  She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother,
and Aunt. With her gift of gab she never met a stranger. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years
Lloyd Clinton Acord; a son Danny Lee Acord; sister Narcissa Hatfield; and brothers James and Darrell Johnson.  Survivors include her son

Department of Transportation in Salem, VA. She loved reading quotes and poems, and found lots of beauty in nature. She loved writing in

Lawrence Thomas Evans, 67, of Crany, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home. He was born January 27, 1947 in
North Spring, WV, a son of the late William Marion and Tracy Mary Davis Evans. He was a 1964 graduate of Baileysville High School, a
United States Navy Veteran, and a 1970 graduate of the West Virginia University Institute of Technology. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by two brothers: William Ronald Evans and wife Fran and John Wesley Evans and wife Elaine; a sister Leatha Etta Peery
and husband John; and an infant sister. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who was known for his incredible work
ethic and quick sense of humor. He enjoyed relaxing and hunting with his brothers, extended family, and friends at his beloved cabin in Glady,
WV and more recently reconnecting with a dear friend from the Navy, Barry Roederer, on fishing trips. A special highlight of each year was
an annual picnic with high school friends from the Baileysville Class of 1964. Tom retired as a foreman for Peabody Coal Co. and fought a
valiant battle against cancer for the past 25 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years Linda Cochran Evans; two daughters Angela

Joseph Anderson “Joe” Harvey, 84, of Lynco, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home. He was born December
25, 1929 in Christian, WV, a son of the late William Calvin and Georgia Crabtree Harvey, Sr. He was a United States Navy Veteran and
attended Toneda Missionary Baptist Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include two daughters

Ruby Helen Linkous Fleenor, 87, of Kopperston, WV entered Heaven’s gates on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital,
Beckley, WV. She was born February 20, 1927 in Cranes Nest, VA a daughter of the late Leonard and Minnie Johnson Linkous. In addition to
her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Carl Edward Fleenor, Sr.; a sister Ethel “Toots” Hilman; and a brother Bob
Linkous. Ruby’s Kind and generous spirit made all around her feel special. She loved her family with all of her being, and her strength, grace,
and dignity will be remembered by all who knew her. Ruby was of the Christian faith, and she was an angel who God allowed to walk with us.
She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Our hearts mourn her loss, but rejoice in knowing we will meet

Jason Harold Dillon, 37, of Kopperston, WV died suddenly Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his home. He was born December 8, 1976 in
Beckley, WV, and was a lifelong resident of Kopperston, WV. Jason was most proud of his employment on an ambulance team during which
time he received National Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. Jason attended Delilah United Methodist Church and was a
member of the choir. In 2013, he took membership in the church and rededicated his life to the Lord. He had an incredibly sharp memory and
never forgot an occasion or date. He was very proud of family heritage and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Jason was preceded in
death by maternal grandparents, Lloyd E. Sr. and Inez Cook, paternal grandfather, Harold Z. Dillon , Father Samuel C. Dillon, and uncle, Jack

Flem and Lovini Roberts Bailey. He answered his country’s call during World War II, by joining the US Army and serving in the South Pacific.
After that he went to work in the coal mines until retirement. In addition to his parents his loving wife of 67 years Pearl Church Bailey. Those

Homer Admiril Chambers, 76, of Princeton, WV, formerly of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at his home. He was
born March 20, 1937 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late Dewey Admiril, and Stella Blankenship Chambers. Homer was a member of the
Oceana Freewill Baptist Church for many years until moving to Mercer County where he attended the Roger Street Community Church in
Princeton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter Belinda Chambers
Putorek and husband Ronnie of Athens, WV; a son Homer Jerome Chambers of Princeton, WV; two grandchildren Summer Putorek, and
Sawyer Putorek; a sister Anna Sue Kitts of Anderson, SC; a brother Christopher Columbus Chambers and wife Francis of Cyclone, WV; and

Darrell C. Addair, 65, of Brier Creek, WV, went home to heaven on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston,
WV. He was born November 13, 1948 in Garland, WV a son of the late Leck and Glenna Coleman Addair. Darrell attended the Brenton
Baptist Church and House of Refuge. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years Eva Carol Crouse Addair; a daughter Charity Lynn Addair
of Brier Creek; two sons Darrell Noah Addair of Brier Creek, and David Lee Addair and his companion Julie Gibson of Raymond, OH; three
grandchildren Alexis, Dillon, and Marissa; seven brothers Wayne and Darlene Addair of North Spring, Arnold and Sharon Addair of Danville,

Kim Marie Tilley Dishmon, 46, of Ravencliff, WV passed away Monday, April 14.  She was born September 21, 1968 in Beckley, WV, a
daughter of the Teddy Tilley of Ravencliff and the late Ollie Mae Holhouser Tilley. Kim attended the Pine Grove Baptist Church, she enjoyed
being with her family, going to flea markets, collecting cast iron and playing with Reese and Butter her two dogs. In addition to her mother she
is preceded in death by her grandparents Mildred Shumate and Dan and Lena Tilley; and her twin brother Eddie “Bert” Tilley. Survivors
include her loving husband of 25 years David Lynn Dishmon of Ravencliff; two sons David Michael “DJ” Dishmon and his fiancé Breanna
Aikens of Glen Fork and Jason Kyle Dishmon of Ravencliff; two step daughters Crystal Tilley of Pineville and Misty (Clifton) Brown of Glen
Fork;  a step son Scotty (Christy) Dishmon of Glen Fork; two sisters Kellee (Roger) Player fo Summerville, SC, and Jennifer Boothe of

James Edward Cook, 46, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was
born November 6, 1967 in Man, WV a son of Eugene Herman Cook of Holly Hills and the late Juanita Farley Cook. He was a member of the
Brothers of the Wheel – Southland, and while he was growing up attended the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church. James loved NASCAR
Races, the Dallas Cowboys, trips to the Lugar Farm with Rick and Mark to hunt, and his job as a mine foreman. He was a big family man, had
a strong belief in God and helping others when they were in need. James loved going on motorcycle rides with his brother-in-law Tim Morgan.
He loved to fish and his favorite spot was Smith Mountain Lake. James was a 1986 graduate of Oceana High School, he loved football, he
was a member of the 1986 Second Team WV Class AA All State Football team, First Team All Coalfield, First Team All South and was
defensive MVP of the 1986 AT&T All Star Football Game. He also played basketball for Oceana High and they advanced to the 1986 WV
Class AA State Basketball Tournament. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by a sister Karen Curley; a brother Jeff Cook; and a
nephew Taylor Braxton Cook. Survivors include his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend of 20 years Anita Yvonne Morgan Cook; his father
Eugene Herman Cook of Holly Hills; two daughters Cindy (JR) Cook of Carthage, NC, and Amy Lusk of Sun Hill; his granddaughter and
sidekick Taylor “Punkin” Williams; a son Bobby Lusk of Oceana; a sister Kelli (Chris) Roach of Bassett, VA; a brother John (Ashley) Cook of
Oceana; best friend and “Brother” Rick Stacy; several nieces and nephews who he dearly loved; and a host of other loving family and friends.
