Macie Mavis Cline Adams, 97, of Lynco, WV, went home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 7, 2015
after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born on July 19, 1917, in Long Branch , WV, a
daughter of the late Leander and Sis Hurley Cline. She was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. In
addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Bud Adams, twelve brothers Flemming
Kennedy, Emory Kennedy, Noah Cline, Verlin Cline, Virgil Cline, Verner Cline, Omar Cline, Jack Cline, Leland
Cline, Nathan Cline, Franklin Cline and David Cline; seven sisters Margaret Trent, Alafair Cline, Eliza
Lambert, Louisa Proffitt, Eula Mae Cline, Mable Blankenship and Polly Cline. Those left to cherish her
memory are her two sons Darrell (Mary) Adams and Jack (Evelyn) Adams; nine grandchildren Becky (Toby)
Grimmett, Wendy Adams, Manja (Jonathan) Gills, Kirk (Dixie) Adams, Missy (Gary) Bishop, Chris
(Melissa) Adams, Dora (Andrew) Broomfield, Kevin (Kim) Harrison and Kathy (Algie) Cook; sixteen great
grandchildren and one on the way; a special caregiver Kay Bower and a host of loving family and friends.

Jerry "Ron" Walls, 77, of Simon, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home. He was born
on February 28, 1938 in Simon, WV, a son of the late Oma Wilburn and Macy Blankenship Walls. He was a
retired coal miner and worked at Island Creek Coal Company and Consol Energy Inc. and he was a member
of the UMWA. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers Clifford, Harold, Gene
and Dale Walls. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years Kathy Kennedy Walls of
Simon; a son David Walls and wife Melissa of Crouch's Farm; a granddaughter Olivia Walls and a grandson
Davin Walls both of Crouch's Farm;  a brother Roger Walls and wife Lois of Brenton; a sister Donna Sue
Chambers of Simon; two special friends Sam and David Morgan; and a host of other loving family and

Mary Evelyn Graham Cook, 53, of Henry, VA, formerly of Matheny, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015,
at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Rocky Mount, VA, after a long illness. She was born on March 18, 1962 in
Pineville, WV, a daughter of the late Calvin Brewster and Mabel Smith Graham. She is preceded in death by
her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her companion of 23 years Bill Wood of Henry, VA; two
sons Ryan Wood, Army Sgt. E5 of Fort Cambel, KY and Mark Cook of Minnesota; a daughter Crystal Rose
and husband Steven of Villarica , GA; two grandchildren Nickalous and Destiny Rose; a brother Rev. Jerry
Graham and wife Sherry of Matheny; two sisters Peggy Tilley and husband Donnie of Moyock, NC  and Judy

Darel David Lester, 67, of Panther, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at his home. He was born
on January 2, 1948, in Panther, WV, a son of the late Maston and Rushie Hurley Lester. He was an
employee of Iaeger Supply. In addition to her parents he is preceded in death by siblings Finis Lester,
Roger Lester and Densel Steve Lester. Survivors include his loving wife Tina Adams Lester; two sister
Beechie Adams and husband Nick and Lois Hatfield; step grandchildren Tylor, Emily, Jacob, Shane,
Amberly, Brooklyn, Hunter, and Little Eddy Bailey; step children Matthew Lester and wife Tina, Heather
Odom and husband Bub, Joey Lester and wife Melisa and Jason Lester and wife Amanda; nieces and
nephews Charlotte Blankenship, Crystal Stewart, Jeffery Adams, Nicholas Adams and Jamie Lester; and a

Teddy "TJ" Joe Dixon, 48, of Glen Daniel, WV, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015. He was born on
January 2, 1967 in Man, WV, a son of Joan Carol Toney Dixon of Lynco, WV and the late Joel Hannon
Dixon. Teddy was a 1985 graduate of Oceana High School, attended WV State University on a baseball
scholarship and Rio Grande University in Ohio. He was employed by Patriot Coal Wells Plant in Boone
County, a United States Army Veteran, a member of the Journeymen Iron Worker Union for 22 years and
the UMWA. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother Christopher "Cricket" Dixon;
grandparents Willard and Kathleen Toney, and Joe and Mildred Dixon; and a very special uncle Charlie
Toney. Those left to cherish his memory are his son Hayden Thomas Dixon of Glen Daniel; his mother Joan
Carol Toney Dixon of Oceana; a sister Clisty Hill of Oceana; three nephews Andy Hill, Dylan Dixon and
Brandon Dixon all of Oceana; two aunts Kathy Toney Thompson and husband David of Pineville, and

Bryant W. Cochran, 25, of Blacksburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at his home following
a battle with Leukemia. He was born on December 29, 1989 in Blacksburg, VA, a son of Darrell Arthur and
Edra Gaye Harvey Cochran of Blacksburg. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Inez and German
Harvey; grandmother Dorothy Hoover; an aunt Jean Cole; and an uncle Belford Cochran.  In addition to his
parents he is survived by two sisters Donna Davis and Tonia Cochran; a brother Dean and Carolyn Cochran
and their children Samantha, Chase and Jacob Cochran of Floyd County, VA; uncles and aunts Alfred and
Mary Harvey, and their children Adam and Monica Harvey, Misty and John Maynor and Bella,  Billy and
Beatrice Harvey, and their children Shane and Annie Harvey, Steven and Sherry Harvey, Donnie and Gerald
Jackson and Payten, all of WV, and Ray Cole of NC; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral

Billy Ray Perry, 82, of Cyclone, WV passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 following a sudden illness at
home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 17, 1932 in Davin, WV, a son of the late Marshall
Hayes and Inez Christian Perry. Bill served in the Korean War where he received the rank of Sgt. He was
employed at Consolidated Gas as a well tender for 31 years. While at Consolidated he received the
Prestigious McCarter Medal for his heroic life saving action of a drowning victim on February 26, 1985.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, ginsenging, cooking Sunday dinner, watching the New York
Yankees and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.  He was a member of the Cyclone Missionary
Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he preceded in death by a son Wilfred Wesley Perry; three
brothers Orville "Buddy" Perry, Sherwood Perry and Walter "Von" Perry; and a set of infant twins
Franklin and Francine Perry. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years Cataline Bobbie
Perry of Cyclone; five daughters Gloria Brinkley of Cyclone, Karen (Pat) Browning of Davin, Erma (Tim)
Mutters of Oceana, Teresa (Timmy Joe) Justice of Davin and  Jennifer Mathis of Pratt; a son Brian

Lucille Little, 74, of Wayside, WV passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Greenbrier Valley Hospital,
Lewisburg, WV. She was born on August 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Harrison and Mary Justice. She
was a homemaker and wife to Earl Junior Little, they had ten children. In addition to her parents she is
preceded in death by her husband  Earl Junior Little; a daughter Betty Jo Little; a son Howard Vince Little;
three grandsons Earl Travis Little, Matthew Harrison Little and Timothy Flint Little; four sisters; and
seven brothers. She is survived by  four sons and  four daughters Flint and wife Teresa Little, Trampis and
wife Eunice Little, Pam and husband David Hagerman all of Pineville, Elvis and Debbie Little, Lacy and
wife Sandy Little, Lisa Little, Penny and husband James Matney, and Crystal and husband John Paul
Matney all of Wayside;  24 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister Shirley Matney; a brother Zeb
Justice; two special people who were like her sons Billy Craft and David May; and a host of other loving

Freda Ann Cook Harless, 71, of Oceana, WV passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on January 27, 1944 in Hanover, WV, a daughter of the late Herman
and Minnie Cline Cook. Freda was a member of the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church where she was the
church pianist and choir director. She was a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International of
the Alpha Theta Chapter in Wyoming County. Freda worked as a teacher and principal for the Wyoming
County Board of Education. She started her career as a teacher at Oceana Middle School and her career as a
principal at Matheny Grade School. She last worked as principal at Berlin McKinney Elementary School;
while under her leadership  in the  2000 school year they received the WV School of Excellence Award, in
2002 they were named a National Blue Ribbon School and in 2003 Freda received the National
Distinguished Principal Award. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant brother
Charles Herman Allen Cook; her maternal grandparents Mack and Mae Cline and her paternal
grandparents Carl and Gustava Cook. Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years Edward A. Harless,
Jr.; a daughter Joyel Finley and her husband Scottie of Milton; a son Parrish Harless of Charleston; a sister
Sandra Gilbert of Scott Depot; and a host of other loving family and friends.  Funeral services will be held

Edward Lee "Eddie" Aliff, 45, of Oceana, WV passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was born
January 13, 1970 in Welch, WV a son of the late Douglas "Doug" and Brenda "Susie" Williams Aliff. He was
a coal truck driver and loving father. Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons Jeremiah and
Isaiah Aliff; three brothers Donald Aliff and wife Becky of Fanrock; Marvin Aliff of Fanrock and Mark Aliff
of Pineville; his companion Mandy Morgan of Kopperston; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews,

Sandra Lee "Sandy" Toler Cline, 47, of Lynco, WV went on to a better place on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at
Welch Community Hospital, Welch, WV, following a sudden illness. She was born on January 12, 1968, a
daughter of Patty Jean Abbott Toler of Lynco and the late Rondal Toler. Sandy was a loving daughter,
mother and grandmother. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her grandfather Harrison
Abbott; grandparents Bud and Nola Toler; and a  cousin Nicholas "Nick" Abbott. Survivors include her
daughter Tashawna Cline and companion Derek Lester of Oceana; her mother Patty Jean Abbott Toler
and companion David Pierson of Lynco; a sister Kimberly Lynn Toler and companion Robert Blankenship
of Oceana; a granddaughter Aliyah Lester of Oceana; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Herbert O'dell Thomas, 91, of Oceana, WV, passed away  on April 29, 2015 in Bowers Hospice House,
Beckley, WV. He was born on February 17, 1924 in Big Sandy, WV a son of the late Roscoe and Laura Lyle
Thomas. O'dell  grew up and lived in Bartley, WV for most of his life, the last 52 years in Oceana. He was a
US Navy WWII veteran, a member of the American Legion, retired from Island Creek Coal Co. in 1986, a
member of UMWA and  a member of the Rockcastle Baptist Church since 1972. In addition to his parents he
is preceded in death by two brothers Joe Bill and Todd; and a sister Opal Thomas Grygiel. Those left to
cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years Vera Lee Sheets Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Herbert "Buddy" Linkous, 86, of Kopperston, WV, passed from this life into his Heavenly reward at St.
Mary's Hospital, Huntington, WV following a long illness. He was born on November 10, 1928 in Clinchco,
VA, a son of the late Leonard James and Minnie Blanche Johnson Linkous. He was a United States Army
Veteran and served in the Korean War where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He worked in the coal mines
for more than three decades, retiring from Peabody Coal. Mr. Linkous was active in the United Mine
Workers and was an active member and officer of his Local 7604 for several years. Mr. Linkous was also a
talented wood craftsman and enjoyed sharing his creations with family members. He also enjoyed
spending time with family and friends, was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, bird watching and feeding
those that gathered around his front porch. He taught his children by example and was a source of
strength for his family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of
57 years Betty Alice Addington Linkous; a daughter Janet Sue Linkous Walls; two brothers Bobby Linkous
and Charlie Linkous; two sisters Ruby Linkous Fleenor and Ethel "Toots" Linkous Hileman. Those left to
cherish his memory include a son Michael Linkous and fiance Donna Pauley of Hurricane; three daughters
Mary Catherine "Cathy" Linkous Brooks and husband Billy of Kopperston, Karen Linkous Rodgers and
husband John, of Winfield, and Angela Linkous Hollingsworth and husband Chuck, of Roanoke, VA;
grandchildren Billy Brooks, Jr. and Sharon, David Brooks, Russell Brooks, and Jaime Brooks, all of
Kopperston; Patrick Walls and Kelly, of Matheny, Melissa Walls Cochran and Michael, of Fanrock, Erica

Michael J. Bailey, 49, of Ravencliff, WV, lost his battle to cancer on April 28, 2015 in Ruby Memorial
Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 23, 1966 a son of Dora Bailey of Ravencliff and the
late Carlos "Pip" Bailey. Mike enjoyed gardening, watching football and wrestling, talking on his CB and
taking care of his chickens. He also loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his father
he is preceded in death by two sisters Betty Bailey and Tearsa Bailey; two brothers Frankie Bailey and
Anthony Bailey; both his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a niece Tabitha Bailey Gwyn.

sisters Tammy Sizemore and Betsy Sizemore and her husband Pete; three brothers Carlos Bailey and his

daughter of the late Fred Daniels and Versie Brown. Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Cyclone, a former
employee of Wayne's Supermarket in Oceana and Buddy's Department store also in Oceana. She was a
1964 graduate of Oceana High School. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband
Jackson "Jack" Lee Perry; a son J.L. Perry; a brother Steve Brown; her former father-in-law and

John Burton Pizzino, Sr., 85, of Glen Fork, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home. He was
born on December 31, 1929 in Glen Fork, WV, a son of the late Sebastian and Elizabeth Sehen Pizzino. John
was a member of the UMWA, worked for Eastern Associated Coal in Kopperston and Harris and a federal
mine inspector. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.  In addition to his parents he is
preceded in death by a son John B. Pizzino, Jr.; four brother and sisters. Survivors include his loving wife
of almost 65 years Velma McGlothin Pizzino of Glen Fork; two daughters Debrah Hargis of Skin Fork and
Pamela (Kenny) Atkins of Valdese, NC; two sons Danny (Glenda) Pizzino of Glen Fork and Richard (Jan)

Larry Dale Fields, Jr., 34, of Whitman, WV, went home to be with the Lord  on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in
CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV following a long illness. He was born on November 24, 1980 in
Williamson, WV, a son of Larry Dale and Sandra Kay Bailey Fields, Sr. of Whitman, WV.. Larry was a long
time member of the Cora Volunteer Fire Department and worked at Gaylock Wrecker Service until his
illness forced him to retire, he also loved riding four wheelers and dirt bikes with his friends and family .

Michelle Lea Argabright King, 47, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Oceana gained her wings and returned
to her heavenly father on Friday, May 29, 2015. She was born on February 25, 1968 in Man, WV, a daughter
of Alice Argabright of Oceana and the late LC Argabright. Our angel was a proud 1986 Oceana High School
graduate and a Social Case Worker for the City of Martinsville, VA before a debilitating illness forced her
to retire. Michelle loved networking with her close friends, planting her Spring flowers, travelling,
collecting Marilyn Monroe and Paris themed memorabilia, 80’s music, making crafts with her family on
holidays and riding her ATV on her mountain backyard to name a few. In addition to her father she is
preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Woodrow and Anna Mae Cline; paternal grandparents HB
Argabright, and Albert and Louise McComas;  her beloved Aunt Linda Toler; Uncles Steve, Michael “Bo”,
and Roger Argabright. Survivors include her husband David King of Huntington; her beloved dog Coco; her

Welch, WV, a daughter of Bobby Eugene Toler of Oceana and Shirley Blankenship Harvey of Brenton. Sue
attended the First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith in McMinnville, TN and was a 1982 graduate of
Oceana High School. She was a loving wife, mother and wonderful nana. She is preceded in death by her
grandparents Blanche Bell Blankenship, Ausie Blankenship and Olin Toler; and her father Finley Harvey.

Matthew Kyle Brown, 33, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2015. He
was born on February 16, 1982 in Beckley, WV, a son of Roger Kyle Brown of Baltimore, MD and Pamela
Sue Prichard of Oceana. Matthew attended Oceana High School and was a gifted athlete throughout his
school years in any sport he played. He also loved to hunt and fish. Matthew was generous, good hearted
and a hard worker. He cried tears of joy the day he found out he was having a son. He loved spending
time with his son Gage, playing basketball, throwing football, passing baseball, playing video games, and
taking him fishing. His favorite thing to do was to watch his son play sports. His son was his whole world
and as Matthew would often say, "My mini me, my world." He is preceded in death by two cousins Amy

Dennis Ray Parton,65, of Man, WV passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Logan Regional Medical
Center, Logan, WV. He was born on January 9, 1950 in Davin, WV, a son of the late Joseph Benjamin and
Virgie Ogle Parton. On May 10, 2015 Dennis was reborn and baptized. Dennis was a proud United States
Army Vietnam Veteran, having received five medals, a member of the VFW and attended the Claypool
United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time at his hunting cabin, we will never forget the hunting
trips with his family and special hunting friends at the camp, where he holds the record for Biggest Buck
killed in the hollow. In addition  to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Dennis Ray Parton, II;
mother-in-law Ruth Rakes Gayheart and a brother Charles E. Parton. Survivors include his loving wife of

Elva Clyde "Doc" Lester, 81, of Shannon Mill Creek, WV, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at
Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born September 25, 1933 in Keyrock, WV, a son of
the late William "Ab" and Nancy Simpson Lester. He was a US Navy Veteran, a member of the Mill Creek
Freewill Baptist Church for 36 years and a Deacon and Trustee for 35 years. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his loving wife Imogene Blankenship Lester, a daughter Deborah Kay Lester,
three sisters Omie Britton, Dolly Lamb and Peachie Henson and four brothers Loy, Troy, Roy and Richard
Lester. Those left to cherish his memory include four children Shelia Ann (Greg) Morgan, Eric Lester and
Erin Lester all of Shannon Mill Creek and Wesley Clyde Lester of Hinton; two grandsons Joshua (Jessica)
Morgan of Turkey Creek and Wesley Shane Toler of Oceana; a granddaughter Taylor Stewart of Pineville;

Benny Joe Whisenant, 78, of Lilly Haven, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015, at
Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, W.Va., following a long illness. He was surrounded by his family and
lifelong friends at the time of his passing. Born on August 26, 1936, to Horace William and Katherine
(Kidd) Whisenant of Clear Fork, W.Va., he spent his early life working on the family farm, hunting and
fishing. After graduating from Oceana High School in 1955, he went to work for Eastern Associated Coal
where he was a coal miner for 35 years. During his career, he formed lifelong friendships with James
Walker and Charlie Painter. He retired in 1989 and for the next 25 years, he enjoyed being outdoors,
working around the house, and painting stunning pictures, a craft for which he had a natural, God-given
talent. He is preceded in death by three brothers Homer, Harole, and Max  and three sisters  Ruth, Jean,
and Betty. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by a loving and devoted wife and
caretaker, India Gertrude Whisenant; a son, Michael David Whisenant and his wife Darva Geneva of Crab
Orchard, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Caleb Brewster Whisenant and Kelsey Dawn Whisenant, also of
Crab Orchard, W.Va. He is also survived by four brothers Charles and wife Fay of Sandy Lick, KY, Robert
and wife Betty of Colombia, SC, David and wife Jean of Mechanicsville, VA, and Bryant and wife Hannah of
Oceana, W.Va.; three sisters  Anna Fay Jarrett of Charleston, W.Va., Mary Colorado of Winston-Salem, NC,
and Nancy Nichols and husband Lewis of Lilly Haven, W.Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Along with
family, he is additionally survived by cherished, lifelong friends Helen Cook and Teddy Toler, both of Lilly
Haven, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday July 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford

Gerold Cline, 71, of Lynco, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his home following a short
battle with cancer. He was born on September 30, 1943 in Clear Fork, WV, a son of the late Allen and
Carrie Toler Cline. Gerold was a 1962 graduate of Baileysville High School. He then worked as a foreman
for Big Bear Mines in Lynco for 20 years until he was disabled. Gerold was a big sports fan, he loved
watching football and basketball especially the WVU Mountaineers. He also enjoyed being outdoors and
watching his birds. In addition to his parents he is  preceded in death by his in-laws Bernard and Merlie
Belcher; and his brother-in-laws Alfred, Gene and Jackie Belcher. Those left to cherish his memory include
his loving wife of 52 years Betty Ann Belcher Cline; a daughter Pam Cline of Lynco; a granddaughter Kayla
Counts of Charleston; a grandson Jackie "Bubby" Counts, III of Sunhill; his beloved dog Binky; two

On Friday morning, July 24, 2015, Landon Bruce Lusk, 78, of Oceana, WV, went to be with his Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. Heaven's choir is much sweeter today. He was born on January 30, 1937 in Cyclone,
WV, a son of the late Onnie Pierce and Mary Ellen Bailey Lusk. Landon was a loving and devoted husband,
father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a member and ordained deacon of the Toneda Missionary
Baptist Church where he also served through the years as a trustee, Sunday School teacher, choir director
and youth choir director. He loved singing in the choir and in recent years playing the bass guitar with
pianist Virginia Toler. He also greatly enjoyed being in church Christmas plays. Landon worked as a mine
foreman for Eastern Associated Coal Corp., working mostly at Kopperston No. 2 mine and retiring from the
Harris mines in 1992 after 35 years of service. Supporting his sons in their growing years, he was a Little
League coach and a former president of Oceana Little League for three years. He loved gardening and
playing golf, and was a very talented handyman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his
father-in-law, Freelin Walker, mother-in-law, May Fern Cook Walker, and mother-in-law, Nannie Brown
Walker; two brothers-in-law, Paris Brown and Richard Walker; and a sister-in-law, Edith Lusk. Those left
to cherish his memory are his loving wife Jean Walker Lusk, to whom he would have been married 53 years
in November; two sons Brad (Tracey) Lusk of Venetia, PA and Kevin (Sandy) Lusk of Follansbee, WV; three
sisters Lucy (Ralph) Grubb of Oceana, Gretcha Brown of Cyclone and Sylvia (Steve) Gibson of Oceana; three

Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on March 18, 1928 in Patrick Springs, VA, a son of the late Ras
and Callie Mae Plaster Trull. Trull loved turkey hunting, playing golf with Keith Walker, Nascar, gardening,
the outdoors and was a member of the UMWA and the National Rifle Association. In addition to his
parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine Trull Rudd; five brothers; and a sister. He was a

Franklin Eugene and Corrine Jean Hatfield Gravely. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a
sister Patty Sue Gravely; two brothers Jackie O'dale Gravely and James Robert Gravely; paternal
grandparents Phelton and Woodsey Gravely Pack; and maternal grandparents Don and Arnie Harvey

Fitzgerald and Angie Browning Lester. Buford was a member of the UMWA and a deacon for many years
at the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church, Man, WV. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by
his loving wife of 61 years Mary Ilene Hatfield Lester; a brother Frank Lester; and five sisters Grethel

John William Lozier, 81, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home. He was
born on July 5, 1934 in Sophia, WV, a son of the late Anthony John and Agnes Caualiski Lozier. In addition
to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 1/2 years Shirley Mae Rippeth Lozier; and a son
Michael David Lozier. Those left to cherish his memory are a son John and Tammie Lozier of Bolt; two

Simon, WV, a daughter of the late Bud Lee and Lakie Cline Belcher. She enjoyed attending the Oceana
Freewill Baptist Church when able to do so. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her
husband Epha Toler; a son Ronnie Toler; a daughter Devonda Brumfield; and a brother Ward Belcher.
