Jerry R. Stafford, Licensed Funeral Director in Charge & President

Jerry was born in 1963 in Mullens, West Virginia,
the son of Jacob N. "Jake" Stafford and JoAnn Blankenship Stafford.

He is a 1982 graduate of
Oceana High School, where he participated as:
Member of the Football Team all four years  Member of the Chess Team and Chess Club
and various other clubs and awards.
He is a 2001
Summa Cum Laude graduate of:
Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science
Awards won:
The Dr. A. J. Nunnamaker Award, for Highest Scholastic Standing and Exemplary Student
Citizenship,
 
The Charles O. Donau Memorial Award, for highest excellence in Embalming,
The Ohio Funeral Directors Association Leadership Award, for Outstanding Leadership
Ability and Funeral Directing Skills.
The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science Honor Society,
bestowed upon only the Top 5 percent of Students in each class.

Former coal miner, Community Developement Vice President of Oceana Jaycees, Midget League Football Game
Announcer, Little League Coach and President.
Member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, Oceana High School Hall of Fame and Alumni Association
He also attended college at::               Southern WV Community, WV Institute of Technology,  Bluefield State
                                                 and   Marshall University School of Medicine.

His grandparents were:

Lisa Ann Pack Stafford

Lisa was born in 1971 at  McGuire Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Howard and Gloria Shannon
Pack.
She is a 1989 Honor graduate of:              
 Baileysville High School,
A graduate of:
Marshall University's Lewis College of Business, with a BA in Business Administration,
University of Phonix, with a Master of Elementary Education
A former Substitute Teacher for Wyoming & Wayne County Boards of Education, now a  fifth grade teacher at Baileysville
Elementary School.
A former Vacation Bible School Teacher at Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, Former Childrens Church teacher at Sunshine
Freewill Baptist Church,
Former Board Member of Oceana Iddy, Biddy, Buddy Basketball League,Former Board  Member of Oceana Little League.

Her mother Gloria Shannon Pack is a 1964 graduate of BHS and a member and Tres. of Clear Fork Independent Church of
God.
Her father Howard Pack is a 1967 graduate of OHS, a retired coal miner, a US Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of Clear
Fork Independent Church of God where he is a Deacon and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

He helped to start the
Oceana Midget and Pee Wee Football program in the 1970's, is a former WVSSAC Football Official

He is married to JoAnn Blankenship Stafford/. He and JoAnn were the owners of:        Staff Machinery Service Company,
located on the same property and are still the property owners.


Howard was born in 1946 at Matheny, West Virginia, a son of the late Howard and Jean Richardson Pack
He is a 1967 graduate of:

He is a US Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War Veteran
A retired coal miner, Having worked for Eastern Associated Coal Company at Kopperston Number 2 and Harris Mines
