Our beloved, Brenda K. Hatfield Mullens-Moles, 78, of Elkview, WV formerly of Wyoming County passed away on October 4, 2026 at 7:15 am at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV where she gained her heavenly wings leaving behind a lot of family and friends who loved her dearly. She was born on November 9, 1947 in Wyoming County, WV a daughter of the late Harold and Charlotte Hatfield. She was wasn’t just a soul that loved others and done whatever she could to help, she showed unconditional love in ways nobody could understand. She was a talker, listener, a hugger, so many things to mention about a mother that went above and beyond to a daughter that never left her side during all the sickness, and hospital stays, to those last unpredictable days. A daughter that never took her for granted because were not promised tomorrow. She wasn’t just a mother and wife. She was also known as “BK”, “Mama B”, and “Boppie B”. She loved keeping up with the kids and all their activities, even if watching videos of games and looking at so many pictures. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching birds, and hummingbirds and tending to all her plants. She had a gentle soul but a fisty attitude. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, former Wyoming County Deputy Eddie Hatfield and his wife Margie. Brenda left behind a daughter Cindy Mullens (DJ Koger) of Welch; her husband of almost 40 years, Phil Moles of Elkview; three grandchildren Candice Farley (Dustin Bolen) of Lorado, Cassandra Rose and husband Daniel of Greenville-Man, and James “Cody” Lester and wife Haley of Craney. She had three step children Joe Moles, Matt Moles and wife Jamie, and Doug Moles; four step grandchildren Grant Moles, Ben Moles, Callie Moles, and Amber Moles; three sisters-in-law Connie Moles Nelson of Elkview, Maggie Hatfield of Mill Creek, and Linda Mullens and husband Randall of Beckley that she had a lot of conversations with; and a nephew Nathaniel Author of Elkview. Brenda had six great grandchildren Madison, Connor, Cayden, Christian, Sydney, and Arianna; and two step great grandchildren Caden Holcomb and Levi Moles. She would never leave out Francis Cantrell of Brenton and Libby Adams of FL. She always told me to leave a message in her obituary to all of her family and friends, she loved them dearly, and until we meet again. Always be kind and love each other. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no service held. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
