Clacey Lambert, 47, of Oceana, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 6:15 a.m., entering the Kingdom of Heaven and into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born July 1, 1979, Clacey was the son of Linda Lambert and the late Robert Lambert, a Vietnam War veteran. Raised in Oceana, he learned early the importance of hard work, family, and helping those in need. A gifted diesel mechanic, Clacey began his professional career in 1997 at Covington Detroit Diesel in Charlotte, North Carolina. He later returned home to West Virginia, working at Heritage Equipment on Dry Hill Road in Beckley before becoming the Diesel Instructor at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center. There, he shared his extensive mechanical knowledge, strong work ethic, and passion for the trade with the next generation of diesel technicians. Clacey was known for repairing vehicles that others could not and generously giving his time, talents, and resources to help anyone in need. Whether fixing a neighbor’s vehicle, assisting someone financially, or creating decorations and signs for local schools, he never hesitated to sacrifice for others. A devout Christian and congregant of Turkey Ridge Baptist Church, Clacey knew the love of God and reflected his faith through compassion, generosity, and service to others. Clacey and his beloved wife, Tiffany, were married in February 2002 and shared 24 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family and raised three children: Emily, Robert, and Ryan. Clacey was a devoted father who shared his mechanical knowledge and strong work ethic with Ryan, cherished his special bond with Robert, and looked forward to the arrival of his grandson through Emily and her husband, Morgan. Clacey never lost his childlike joy, particularly his love of Christmas. He and Tiffany spent countless hours creating elaborate holiday light displays that attracted families from miles away. He also had a great love of fishing, a pastime that brought him happiness and enjoyment. Known for his affectionate personality, playful spirit, stubborn determination, and love of Dodge Ram trucks, Clacey brought laughter and happiness to those around him. Throughout his illness, Tiffany demonstrated extraordinary devotion and sacrifice while caring for Clacey and their family. Clacey is survived by his wife, Tiffany; daughter, Emily, and her husband, Morgan; sons, Robert and Ryan; mother, Linda; father-in-law, Frankie Lusk; mother-in-law, Teresa Lusk; grandmother-in-law, Bernice Justice; brother, Jason, and sister-in-law, Jessica; niece, Trinity; and numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lambert. The family wishes to extend special recognition and heartfelt gratitude to Clacey’s cousins, Kristin Dial and Jessica Varney, whose extraordinary devotion, compassionate medical care, and selfless commitment provided him with comfort, dignity, and love throughout his courageous battle with illness. Their unwavering presence and countless sacrifices were a tremendous blessing to Clacey and his family. Special appreciation is also extended to Jeff Pritchard, the doctors and nurses at the University of Kentucky and CAMC, along with a host of aunts during this difficult journey. Pallbearers will be friends, family, and former Wyoming County diesel students. In just 47 years, Clacey touched countless lives through his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. His legacy lives on in his family, his community, and the many people whose lives he made better. Clacey’s life was not defined by what he earned, but by what he gave. And what he gave most freely was love. Funeral services for Clacey will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 29th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Johnny Jones, and Rev, Randall Toppin officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28th at the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
