Cynthia Darlene Brown, 63, of Cyclone, WV went home to be with her Lord on Monday, August 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family and friends following a hard battle with cancer. She was born September 4, 1962 in Chicago, IL a daughter of the late Lawrence and Patty Elmore. Cindy was a good Christian woman for most of her life and attended Gilman Bottom House of Prayer. There is not enough wonderful words to describe Cindy. All who knew her, loved her. She showed God’s light in everything she did and everywhere she went. She was an exemplary role model and was lead by her servant’s heart. Kindness and helping others were just instilled into her very core and it flowed freely in every situation. She was a proud LPN at Logan Center for 27 years where she devoted her life to helping others. She loved every patient she encountered and everyone she worked with. She was a mother hen to all who crossed her path. Logan Center was her extended family. Cindy was the life of every gathering and certainly the heart of our family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant sister, Hester Jane; brother, Lawrence, Jr.; Sister, Trecia Gibson; and three great grandbaby angels. and a host of other loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 47 years, Jack Brown of Cyclone and her fur baby, Rod Chester; sons Jamie (Renea) Brown and Larry (Nicole) Brown both of Cyclone; grandchildren, Emily (Ken) Adkins of Cyclone, Ashton (Bill) Elkins of Matheny, Adam Brown, and Destiny Brown both of Cyclone; great grandsons Liam Elkins, and Samuel Adkins coming in October; sister (best friend) and travel buddies, Mary (Will) Carroll of Front Royal, VA, sister Peggy (Charles) Cox of White Oak, TN; and brother Paul (Vickie) Elmore of FL. She also leaves behind many special nieces, and nephews, as well as other loving family and a host of friends who loved her dearly, and will miss her greatly. As we rejoice in the fact of 2 Corinthians 5:8 “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” please join us as we celebrate her life well lived, her healing and her new heavenly home. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 8th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5:00 pm until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated following the service. Although gone from our sight, she’ll never leave our hearts. Her words “All is well” will live on forever. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
