Diana Lynn
Vance
November 3, 1957 – May 1, 2026
Diana Lynn Vance, 68, of Jesse, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on November 3, 1957 in Pineville, WV a daughter of the late Peggy Clay Lester and Arnold Lester. Diana was the kind of person who could light up a room just by being in it. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Wayne Vance, and the two of them shared nearly 50 years together full of love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories. She loved her kids and grandkids with her whole heart and never missed a chance to show it. Diana put Jesus first in her life, and her faith carried through everything she did. She had such a fun, goofy spirit- always doing something a little wild or silly. She didn’t hold back from being herself, and that’s what made her so special. Being around her meant smiling, laughing, and feeling loved, and that’s exactly how she will always be remembered. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Stephen who passed as an infant. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Wayne Vance, her two sisters Barbara Vance of West Blocton, AL, and Necie (Jimmy) Mullins of Kings, NC, her four brothers Jimmy (Linda) Lester of Indian Creek, Michael Lester of Briar Creek, David Lester of Briar Creek, and Curtis (Frances) Lester of Wyoming, her two sons Jesse (Betty) Vance of Pineville, and John (Melinda) Vance of Pineville, and a host of grandkids, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loving family and friends who will forever cherish her in their hearts. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 6th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Hannibal Blankenship, Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Lester Cemetery, Indian Creek, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 1 pm until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
