Douglas Leon Lambert, 83, of Matheny, WV passed away on July 4, 2026 at his son’s home in Troutman, NC. He was born on November 18, 1942 in Premier, WV a son of the late Frank and Sylvania Thompson Lambert. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a host of brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria Jean Williams Lambert; his four children Woodrena Keaton and husband Shane, Doug M. Lambert and wife Emily, James “Skeezy” Lambert and wife Mandy Brown, and Devin Cook; six grandchildren Cody, Jeremy, Ashley, Tyler, Kevin, and Rebecca; four great grandchildren Kailey, Jacey, Colesin, and Aleeah; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
