2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to present with the Lord.” Jimmie R. Weis, 79, of Mullens, WV passed away on October 6, 2026 at Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on May 10, 1947 in Alpoca, WV to the late Clarence and Irene Weis. Jimmie was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the DAV, VFW, the Civil Air Patrol, and the UMWA.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Teresa Weis; a brother Roger Weis; and two infant siblings Jerry and Kathy Weis. Jimmie is survived by three sons, Jimmy and his wife Vanessa of Beckley, Todd and his wife Terra of Corinne, and Jason and his wife Carla of Booneville, NC. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara of NC, Carolyn of DE; and a brother Randy and his wife Vicky of NC. He was the proud Poppy of eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren Christian and his wife Hannah of Glen Daniel, Micah and Conner of Beckley, Cayden, Gunner, and Charlee of Boonville, NC; and great grandchildren Addy, Raylin, and Aria; and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
