Judy Kay Carroll Elswick, 70, of Wharton, WV passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at her home. She was born on October 14, 1955 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Edgar and Ada Mae Davis Carroll. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a husband Ronald Lee Elswick, sisters Betty, Patsy, Margaret, and Mary, and brothers Oakey, Jerry, Roger, and Kenneth Carroll. Survivors include her two sons Billy Hughes and wife Bridgett, and Joseph Hughes and wife Dorothy, two daughters Lisa Peters and husband Will, and Cristy Dutton and husband Jason, sisters Cathy Rushbrook and husband Harry, Janet Hughes and husband Alton, and Linda Darnell Hughes and, grandchildren Lindsay Hughes, David Hughes, Kassandra Hughes, Trey Harper and wife Pookie, Tyler Harper and wife Katie, Dominick Moore and partner Haley Blevins, Gracie Harper and partner Patrick Church, Breonna Dutton and partner Jody Kennedy, and Jesse Dutton, great grandchildren Haven, Ryder and Aria Harper, Oaklee and Daxton Harper, Ella Grace Moore, and Weston and Paxton Church. She also had a whole slew of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews that she loved dearly. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
