Karen Lynn Morales, 62, of Pineville, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at McDowell Healthcare Center, Gary, WV. She was born May 20, 1963 in Flint, Michigan, a daughter of the late John Morales and the late Terry May Swegles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Richard. Karen was so very loved, her smile could light up a room and she lived to laugh. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her dog Siri dearly, even when her mind started to fail her, they are all she always talked about. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, crafting, and one of her favorite things, going to twin falls to see the deer. She loved going to church, listening to gospel music, and attending church softball games and dinner to fellowship with her daughter and church family. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Krystal May Cunningham, her son Cody James Cunningham and wife Josie Lupardus Cunningham that Karen loved so very much, two grandchildren Heaven Dust Orndorff and Jamie Ray Orndorff, her beloved best friend, her dog, Siri Bug, brothers Ron, Don, and Steve, sisters Sharon, Debbie, and Barb, many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and a host of other loving family and friends. “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (for we walk by faith, not by sight:) we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-8. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and no public service held. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home.
