King David Compton, 62, of Wyoming, WV went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2026 at his sister’s home. He was born on January 17, 1964 in Mullens, WV a son of the late James Edward and Helen Esteleen Akers Compton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers James Carl Compton, Donald Ray Compton, Lucian “Luke” Compton, Hershell Compton and Mark Compton; his sisters Fayetta Compton, Vicky Lambert, Judy Gail Cook, Donna Faye Sturgill, and Patricia Ann Ramsey. Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter Amanda Lewis; a son James Compton; three sisters Edna “LuLu” Baker, Rosemary Hanes, and Glenda Mae Yeo; two brothers Marion Lee Compton, and Dean Compton; two grandchildren Madalyn Cook, and Kingston Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 17th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jason Hawks officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Compton Cemetery, Skin Fork, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 pm until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
