Larry Alan Hatfield, 67, of Coal Mountain, WV, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026 with his daughters by his side at Genesis Logan Center, Logan, WV. Born somewhere under a rock in WV on November 11, 1958 a son of the late Eugene and Kathleen Blankenship Hatfield. Larry owned pool tables, pinball machines and juke boxes in the 90’s, aquiring many friends along the way. He spent more than 20 years of his life working underground in the coal mines, where he met some of his lifelong friends. Larry was one of finest carpenters around, His wife would say he was a jack of all trades and master of none. Larry was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, most people knew him for his sarcasm, his love for playing pranks, his love for cheering on the WVU Mountaineers, and his outgoing sense of humor that his daughters thankfully inherited. Any free time he had he was found doing something with his grandkids whether it be fishing, reading, or singing them some made up song with their name in it. To his daughters he was superman, always a phone call away and never failed to come running. He will forever be missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years Ronda Hatfield, two sisters Marsha Wallace, and Patti Hopkins, a son-in-law Jason Bledsoe, a sister-in-law Robin Browning, and father and mother-in-law Johnny and Barbara Walker. Survivors include his two daughters whom he devoted his life to, Chasity Bledsoe and companion Ralston Paynter of Coal Mountain and Amy (Bryan) Justice of Coal Mountain, his five grandkids that are perfect in his eyes, Jaiden Bledsoe, Ethan Bledsoe, Kaitlyn Justice, Brianna Justice, and Brody Justice all of Coal Mountain, two brothers Mike (Rebecca) Hatfield of Kopperston, and Billy (Kim) Hatfield of Mineral Point, MO, brothers-in-law Ricky (Jeanetta), Micky (Robin), Brad, Johnathan, and David (Deloris), sisters-in-law Vanessa Walker, Kim (Larry) Dillon, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 16th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Glen Hatfield officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Walker Cemetery, Hanover, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00 - 9:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
