Luther “Luke” C. Tilley, 84, of Corinne, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Wyoming Healthcare, New Richmond, WV. He was born on January 31, 1942 in Itmann, WV a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Tilley and Sarah Elizabeth Brinegar Tilley. Luke worked at Wyoming General Hospital in Mullens, WV for 25 years, and worked for Sears in Mullens, WV for 5 years. He also volunteered at Itmann Food Pantry for many years. He was a Deacon at Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Mullen. Luke was a fan of WV Mountaineer’s Basketball and Football teams. He enjoyed hunting in Paw Paw, WV and fishing and camping on the New River in Hinton WV. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Dale Tilley, Frank Tilley, Iona Teague, Shirley Baum, Velma O’Neal, Ruby O’Neal, Kermit Tilley and Clarence Tilley. Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 61 years Norma J. Norman Tilley, a daughter Kimberly Tilley Adkins and husband Greg of Pineville, grandsons Brandon Ingram of Corinne, and Bradley Ingram and wife Kelsie of Beckley, two great granddaughters Rowan Martin and Knightley Martin of Beckley, a brother Tom Tilley and wife Wilma of Mullens, and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 9th at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church, Mullens, WV with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. He will be laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Tuesday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
