Margaret “Margie” Susan Walls Terry, 87, of Matheny, WV passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV following a long illness. She was born on November 10, 1938 to Dottie and Stella West Walls, in Simon, WV. Struck by polio at a young age, she never let it hold her back from doing what she wanted. Margaret learned how to play guitar at the age of 10 and performed throughout the County and WWYO radio station. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized at a young age at the Reedy Creek Methodist Church. She was a 1957 graduate of Baileysville High School, where she excelled in Volleyball. She graduated from Bluefield Business College in 1959. She worked various jobs in the Northern Virginia area, Maryland and Washington, DC. She loved to garden, can, read and grow beautiful flowers. Her door and kitchen were always open to a friend. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Fostina (Infant) Lorriane Wickline, Elizabeth Tilley, Lavonia Toler, and Anna Belcher. She leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Billy Terry; a daughter Rebecca (Dana) McDonald and the light of her life, her granddaughter Zoey McDonald of Scott Depot, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A Celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 26th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Glen Hatfield officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 12pm until time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Logan Regional Medical Center and Charleston Atea Medical Center for their wonderful care. Special friend of 73 years, Mary Helen Criner, and her longtime friends, Diane Morgan and her wonderful caregiver, Wanda Carter. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
