Obituary

Mary Lou Tilly, 86, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2026 at the Wyoming Healthcare Center, New Richmond, WV. She was born on March 1, 1940 in Sabine, WV a daughter of the late Alfred and Goldie Mae Lusk Tilly. She loved the Lord and people. She was kind to every person she came in contact with and would have done anything in the world for anyone who needed help. She was born and raised in Wyoming County WV but spent the majority of her years in Indiana. She loved to be outside doing yard work, going shopping and spending time with her loved ones. She was the hardest worker and strongest woman. She attended both Trinity Chapel Church in Thorntown Indiana and later, Jamestown Church of God of Prophecy in Jamestown, Indiana where she faithfully served and loved the Lord. Her family in Christ look forward to the day they are reunited with her in Heaven for eternity. There is comfort to be found in knowing that while she is absent from the body, she is present with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Mullens; two sons C.D. Hill and Tommy Mullens; two brothers Curtis and James Tilly; and three sisters Betty Sinecoff, Ruby McMillion, and Polly Newsome. Those left to cherish her memories include two sons Eddie Stewart of Jamestown, IN, and David Mullens of Indiana; a daughter/granddaughter Mary Hill of Lebanon, IN; a grandson Curtis Stewart; great granddaughters Haillie Hill, and Cheyenne Blackstone both of Lebanon, IN; three sisters Margaret Stewart of Oceana, Debbie Trump of McGraws, and Tiny Macon of NC; two brothers Jackie Tilly of Ravencliff, and Bobby Tilly of Saulsville; and a host of other loving family and friends. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3rd at the Tilly Cemetery, Twin Falls, WV. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
