Randy “Dose” Morgan, of Indian Creek, WV born June 13, 1961, passed away on September 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of a family who meant everything to him. Randy was a hardworking man who spent 30 years working for U.S. Steel #50 and was a proud UMWA member. His years of hard work and dedication were an important part of his life, and he formed many friendships along the way. Randy attended Indian Creek Community Church. Cancer may have taken his strength, but it could never take his faith in God. Through the pain and difficult days, he held firmly to the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Anyone who knew Randy knew how much he enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, especially camping with his wife, Drema, at R.D. Bailey. Each year, he looked forward to going to hunting camp with his sons and grandsons, creating traditions and memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Hunting with his brother Junior was also something Randy truly loved and looked forward to. More than anything, Randy loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed visiting, laughing, cutting up, and simply having a good time with the people he cared about. He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable, and those moments will now mean more than ever. Randy’s life was measured not only by his years, but by the family he loved, the friendships he made, the traditions he passed down, and the countless memories he leaves behind. His absence will be deeply felt at family gatherings, ball games, camping trips, hunting camp, and all the little everyday moments where his laughter and presence belonged. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joey Morgan and Steve Morgan; sister-in-law, Claudette Morgan; brothers-in-law, Ernie Atwell and Tommy White; nephew, Adam Morgan; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Kitty Epperhart. Randy shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Drema Morgan. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, laughter, and countless memories that will be treasured for years to come. He was a devoted father to his three sons, Randy Morgan and wife Chasidy, Kevin Morgan and wife Holly, and Brandon Morgan and wife Maria. One of Randy’s greatest joys in life was being a grandfather. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren: Kinley Morgan, Kaden Morgan, Kaylinn Morgan, Brycen Morgan, Holden Morgan, Shelia Grace Morgan, Rylee Morgan, and Paisleigh Morgan. Randy loved his grandchildren dearly and rarely missed an opportunity to watch them play sports. Some of his happiest moments were simply spending time with them, including playing outside. To his grandchildren, he leaves behind memories of a Papaw who loved them, supported them, laughed with them, and took great pride in watching them grow. Randy is also survived by his mother, Hattie Mann Morgan, and siblings, Elizabeth Atwell; Herbert “Junior” Morgan; Kenny Morgan and wife, Sonjia; and Barbie Morgan Cline and husband, Tracey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eddie and Linda Lester; sisters-in-law, Tracey and Shane Williams, and Terry and Timmy Morgan; and brother-in-law, Gregory Baugh. Randy “Dose” Morgan will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. Although his family would give anything for one more hunting trip, one more camping weekend, one more ball game, or one more day of sitting around cutting up together, they will carry Randy with them in every story they tell and every tradition they continue. Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, September 17th at the Christian Fellowship Worship Center, Pineville, WV with Pastor Joey Massey officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9 PM on Wednesday, September 16th at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
