Rebecca L
Brown
Apr 25, 1981 — Jul 14, 2026
Rebecca “Becky” Lee Brown danced through the Pearly Gates of Heaven on July 14, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Charleston General Hospital. Becky was born on April 25, 1981 to Steve and Linda Brown of Cyclone, West Virginia. She was a Member in Good Standing and attended Lacoma Baptist Church at Cyclone, WV. Becky was funny, sweet, witty, full of love, life, and laughter. She could easily make you laugh or feel better if you were down. She shined a light and made a difference to everyone who knew or met her. Becky loved spending time with her family and giving people silly nicknames with her dad. She especially loved listening to music, and played Christmas music all year long. She truly enjoyed watching her cartoons, everything from Barney to Mickey Mouse and his gang, Winnie the Pooh, the Disney Princesses and many others but, most recently SpongeBob SquarePants. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Shelby and Helen Brown of Oceana, and maternal grandparents, Cletus and Sonia “Jackie” Cook of Cyclone. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her parents, sister Shelly and husband Mark McHenry of Weston; brother Todd and wife Tammy of Bassett, Virginia; nephew Zachery and wife Olivia of Cyclone, niece Hannah of Weston; great nephews Zachery Jr. and Damon, and great niece Kenzleigh, all of Cyclone; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Becky’s family invites you to come and celebrate her life at the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 5:00—8:00 pm. Please feel free to wear your SpongeBob or any cartoon character shirts. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 21 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Ricky Proffit officiating. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV following the service. A special thank you to the nursing staff at CAMC General, who provided efficient and loving care to Becky during her last days. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Devonna West and Debbie Davis for their contribution/donation and Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV for their service during this difficult time for our family. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
