“Pete” Roger Lee Maynor, 73, of Kopperston, WV, went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on January 3, 1953 in Welch, WV a son of the late Walter Junior and Dimple Belle Amburgey Maynor. Pete was a member of Joseph Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Roger Hodson. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years Tabatha Rife Maynor; his children Jeremy Maynor and wife Angela of Charleston, Joshua Maynor of Kopper City Bottom, Matthew Maynor and wife Tiffany of Winston Salem, NC, and Heather Maynor (Blaine Adkins) of Clear Fork; a sister Phyllis Hodson of Princeton who he had a very close relationship with; a brother Timothy Maynor of Oceana; his grandchildren Ethan, Aubree, Emma, Olivia, Noah, and Brody; two special nieces Stephanie Trump, and Jennifer Hodson; a great nephew Andrew Trump; and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held 6:00 pm on Friday, October 30th at Joseph Baptist Church, Lynco, WV with Pastor William Cook officiating.
