Sally May Stewart, 75, of Oceana, WV passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at home surrounded by her family after many courageous years of battling multiple health problems. Sally was born on February 15, 1951 in Simon, WV, a daughter of the late Troy "Lee" Toler (1911-1987) and Maysie Evelyn Justice-Toler (1916-1998). In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Toler, Nancy "Jean" Hatfield, Sara Jane "Kitty" Epperhart, Martha “Margie” McClellan, and three brothers, Gerald Toler, Homer Toler, and Tommy Toler. Sally devoted her life to taking care of her husband of 57 years, Aaron Stewart, Jr., her son, Keith Stewart and his wife Keisha, granddaughters, Kyra Alexis Short and husband Cody, and Brylee Mae Fullmer, and great-grandson, Kameron Cody Aaron Short. She also enjoyed spoiling her grand-dog, Hershey Kiss, and spoke often about her special late puppy Webbie. Sally’s faith in God remained strong throughout each health battle she faced. She never complained, and always kept her focus on serving Jesus, and loving others just as He instructs us to do. Her life is a testament to true faith and humility. In addition to her immediate family, survivors include her brother, Buck Toler, sisters, Carol Sue Blair, Audria Toler, Sharon Toler and Elizabeth “Betty” Blankenship, and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She also cherished many special close friends along the way. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastors Erwin Gregory and Randall Topping officiating. Sally will be laid to rest in the Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 pm until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
