Sandra Mary Bowden Holmes, 80, of Lillydale, WV passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born February 21, 1946 in Binfield, England, a daughter of the late Orel and Mary Greene Bowden. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughters Gina Gilley (Grant) and Tina Blackburn, and a sister Marsha Blankenship. Those left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren Matthew Gilley, Bradley Gilley, and Garrett Blackburn, great-granddaughter Marilyn Gilley, a brother-in-law Raymond Blankenship, nephews Nicholas Blankenship and Alex Blankenship, cousins James Combs, Mary Church, Judy Harper, Linda Miller, David Bowden, and Cookie Lafferty, her fur baby Patchy, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7pm on Thursday, September 10th, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Roy Trent officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 6pm until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated following the service.
