Tamara Sue “Tammy” Conley Lester, 63, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on October 4, 2026 at her home. She was the eldest child of the Frances Short Conley and John “J.W.” Conley. Tammy was Salutatorian for the 1981 graduating class of Oceana High School. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science at Concord University and the Medical University of South Carolina in 1985. Tammy was a medical technician throughout her career. She was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. She also enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, and reading. She spent a lot of her time spoiling her canine companions Daisy and Mud. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her paternal uncles Douglas “Bobo” Conley, Robert “Bobby” Conley; two maternal uncles Leon and Eddie Short; and one maternal aunt, Phyllis Cook. Those left to cherish Tammy’s memory include her son Bobby Dale Lester and his longtime companion Julie Ritter of Chattanooga, TN; her siblings, Melissa (Ron) Altizer of Oceana, David “Dewey” Conley, and Dawn (Kenneth) Clay all of Clear Fork. As well as her beloved nephews Ivan Clay, and Treavor Conley. Tammy was also loved by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. In keeping with her wishes, Tammy will be cremated. There will be no public service. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
