Timothy Jared Harless, 43, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born December 25, 1982 in Beckley, WV, a son of Timothy Darrell and Cathy Combs Harless. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Oral and Jo Ann Harless, maternal grandfather Bobby Belcher, a grandbaby Sutton Rayne York, a sister-in-law Shelley Zacek and great-grandmother Stollie Parsons. Jared leaves behind a legacy rooted in faith, family, and service. He attended Campus Church of God and was a devoted Christian who found great joy in serving God, especially through singing alongside his family. Music was not just something Jared loved it was a reflection of his spirit, his faith, and his connection to others. Jared was known for his kind heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. Whether through quiet acts of generosity or active involvement in his community, he made a lasting impact on the lives of many. He believed in showing compassion through action and he lived that belief every day. Those who knew Jared will remember his warm presence, his steady faith, and his playful spirit. He was known for his love of joking and pulling pranks, often bringing laughter to those around him and lightening even the heaviest moments. He had a special way of bringing people together through both song and humor, leaving lasting memories filled with joy. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to live on in the songs he sang, the lives he touched, and the faith his carried so strongly. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 19 years, Sara Gibson Harless, his daughters Chloe Elizabeth and Jenna Faith, parents Timmy and Cathy Harless, maternal grandmother Virgie Belcher, sister Tara (Dale) Boothe, and his best friend Knapper. Funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, May 12th at the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, Oceana, WV with Rev. Caleb Prichard officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 5-9pm on Monday, May 11th at the church. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Pallbearers will be David Price, Benjamin Price, Isaac Price, Aaron Harless, Brent Prichard, Jacob Toler, and honorary Pall Bearer Chris Lusk. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
