Timothy Dale Mutters, 65, of Oceana, WV entered eternal rest on Monday, October 26, 2026, after a life filled with love and faith. He was born April 1, 1961, in Orlando, FL, a son of Margaret and the Late Linvel "Judd" Mutters of Davin. He was a 1979 graduate of Man High School, where he created fond memories in school and on the basketball court. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 42 years Erma Mutters, his brother William “Billy” Mutters, his in-laws Billy and Bobbie Perry, his brother-in-law Wilfred Perry, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Tim was a devoted Christian and member of Christ Community Church. He retired after 20 years of service at the Logan County PSD. He took great joy in fishing and the outdoors, spending time with his sons, grandchildren and so many others that knew him as “Uncle Tim”, holding every baby he possibly could and yelling at the TV or referees while watching sports. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Margaret Mutters of Davin, his sons Joshua Mutters and wife Tracey of Waynesboro, VA, Timothy Mutters of Oceana, his two grandchildren Luxley Mutters and Zeke Mutters of Waynesboro, VA, his siblings and their spouses: Vicki and Gene Scism of Myrtle Beach, SC, Teresa and Clinton Grimmett of Mallory, WV, Amanda and Kris Bryant of Poca, WV, Lesa and Emerson Reyes of Goldsboro, NC, and Kevin and Phyllis Mutters of Rutherfordton, NC, his in-laws: Gloria Brinkley, Karen Browning and husband Pat, Teresa Justice and husband Timmy, Jennifer Mathis, Brian Perry and wife Robin, his nieces and nephews: Ashley Nicole Dodson, Charlene Scism, Tracy Scism, Heather Bakke, Christopher Grimmett, Brandi Mutters, Chris Mutters, Jon Linville, Jeremy Linville, Jessica Linville, Justin Linville, Rebecca Parlin, Tiara Nicole Thomas, Brenna Dodson, Blade Dodson, Beckley Dodson, Alexis Grimmett, Kiersten Grimmett, Janice Grimmett, Jenny Grimmett, Zac George, Cody George, Bentley Mutters, Canaan Mutters, Nash Mutters, Kaden Linville, Calla Linville, Jackson Adkins, Isla Adkins, Rosalie Parlin, Luke Parlin, Owen Parlin, Eli Parlin, Tessa Brinkley, Patrick Browning, Stephanie Browning, T.J. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 2nd at Christ Community Church, Jesse, WV with Pastor Jay Morgan officiating. Friends of the family may visit from 12:00pmuntil time of service on Monday at the church. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
